For first-time homebuyer Brianna Lewis working with McCaffrey Homes gave her confidence that she made the right decision.
“They were so friendly and supportive throughout the process,” Lewis says. “They wanted to make sure I understood the entire homebuying process.”
Lewis searched for a year to find the right home for her, and she found it in the McCaffrey Homes’ Altura collection at Tesoro Viejo, Madera County’s newest award-winning, master-planned community. The award-winning Bryce model fit her needs perfectly with a large kitchen and living room to entertain friends and the convenient upstairs laundry room.
The Bryce model was recognized by the Gold Nugget Awards at the 2019 Pacific Coast Builder Conference in the category of Best Single-Family Detached Home Under 1,800 Square Feet. The Gold Nugget Awards is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation.
Lewis, a special education teacher at a charter school, was impressed by the award-winning design and had visited Tesoro Viejo many times. She says she was surprised to learn that owning a home in this perfect location was within her reach.
“I was on Cloud Nine – I have been out here since the beginning and never thought it was a reality” she says. “Michelle at McCaffrey Home Mortgage was so helpful and made me feel confident and informed throughout each step – so thankful for her!”
Lewis moved into her new home in mid-June and is enjoying making it her own. Her new furniture is slowly arriving, and she is excited about her plans for her backyard to turn it into the perfect outdoor space to entertain family and friends. She has visions of an extended outdoor dining area, string lights, and planter boxes with lots of flowers. The Kingsburg native is happy to live in a place that seems far away, but close to her family.
Less than a month after moving in, Lewis is finding that the amenities at Tesoro Viejo fit her lifestyle. She says she loves hanging out at the pool at the Ranch House, the resort-style clubhouse, where she continues to meet her neighbors. She also enjoys using the gym, which has all the equipment she needs for her workout. And the 14 miles of trails have been a perfect opportunity for jogging, hiking, and exploring.
When her friends come to visit, they enjoy the neighborhood parks that gives them plenty of comfortable space to enjoy the outdoors. And she loves AXIS, the coffee bar and eatery in Town Center.
“It is so convenient, and the food is delicious,” she says. “The night I moved into my house I was eating dinner at AXIS with my mom and some friends and got a chance to meet so many of my new neighbors.”
She explains that everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Every time she goes to the clubhouse or AXIS she meets more new neighbors, she says.
When asked what her advice to new homebuyers is, her first response is: “Buy a McCaffrey home!” She says that it’s OK to ask a million questions – if you get the answers you need and the homebuilder is responsive, then you know you made the right decision.
Lewis knows she made the right decision with a beautiful new home in a community that not only supports her lifestyle, but a place where she knows she belongs.
