Inspiring Women

For many, our mothers, grandmothers, daughters, or mentors are an important influence on our lives. Today for International Women’s Day, we want to recognize them and the women who inspire us. We’ve asked several women who serve on the leadership team of McCaffrey Homes to pay tribute to an important woman in their life on this special day:

I am celebrating my mom, Pauline Bonadelle, for International Women’s Day. My mother taught her daughters that “we can do anything if we put our minds to it and work hard.” She was strong, kind, humble, loving, and generous. She led by example, believing the rules applied to everyone, including herself and her children. And she taught me what hard work and dedication is. I miss her dearly and feel her influence every day.

My Mother-in-Law, Paula Goff, has been an example of perseverance, patience, and inner strength.  She has shared with me her love of crafting and shown me that busy hands can often calm a worried mind.  She has led by example proving that little acts of kindness can deliver a big impact.

The woman who inspires me the most is my Nana, Donna Psenner.  She has been my greatest example of having integrity and success in a career while also being the backbone of our family.  She epitomizes what it means to be a loving, caring, and selfless individual.  I'm truly honored not only to have learned from her, but also to be able to call her my best friend.

There are a few very beautiful women in my life that I am honored to know.  They inspire me to be the best version of me every day.  They show grace, unconditional love and kindness to everyone they meet. They have shown me to stop and enjoy the little things, be present in every moment, and walk in light!  Every day is a choice to inspire someone else, a choice to do the right thing.  I am honored to know them and do life with them!

My daughter Christy Taylor has been an inspiration to me. She had the courage to go back to college to study for her career in nursing. She did this while raising her son as a single parent. She proves every day that if the desire is there you can move mountains. In my eyes she will always be the best!
