More than 50 members of the McCaffrey Homes family laced up our walking shoes on Saturday, Oct. 10 to participate in the 2015 Central Valley Heart & Stroke Walk at Chukchansi Park in Downtown Fresno.
McCaffrey Homes team members Janel Showers and Stephanie Braun served as captains of our Tesoro Viejo Team. We far surpassed our initial goal of $5,000, by raising $11,630 to help build a healthier community through the American Heart Association's life-saving medical research and education programs.
If that wasn't exciting enough, following the two-mile walk, the American Heart Association announced that Tesoro Viejo will host the 2016 Heart Walk at the future site of our new community in Madera County, which is scheduled to break ground next year.
Partnering with the American Heart Association and hosting the Heart Walk is a great opportunity for us to show our support to an organization that helps build healthier lives. Health and wellness are among the principles guiding the development of Tesoro Viejo, which is designed to be an aspirational place to enjoy an enhanced quality of life and vitality through outdoor living and recreation.
We can't wait to host the walk next year at Tesoro Viejo and hope to make it one of the most successful yet. To participate in next year's walk or for more information, connect with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
