Meet the McCaffrey Homes Design Team

One of the most exciting parts of building a new home is selecting fixtures and finishes that reflect your unique style. Choosing the colors, materials and hardware may seem daunting at first, but that is where the McCaffrey Homes design team comes in. This knowledgeable service makes the design process collaborative, efficient and fun.

The Design Consultants

Ashley Pavan and Diane Poss are our in-house design consultants here at McCaffrey Homes, both bringing their own unique experience and eye for style to the home buying process.

Ashley has a background in customer service and management across multiple industries, and she most recently worked as a Realtor before joining the McCaffrey Homes design team. It was through decorating her own homes that she discovered her passion for interiors.

“My husband’s career required us to move several times over the years and I always prioritized decorating our space to make an unfamiliar place feel like home,” says Ashley. “I noticed a pattern over the years where our houses sold within a week because of the interior finishes we selected. I realized that I have talent for what I’m passionate about, so I decided it was time to pursue it!”

Diane started her career in construction management for custom home builders, followed by 10 years in the interior design business. She strives to create a personal sanctuary for each client she works with.

“I found that from a very early age I noticed the items and details in my environment and the correlation to how they made me feel,” she says. “I appreciated that beauty and comfort had a huge impact on how we feel every day. As an adult, that translated into wanting to create a comfortable and beautiful environment that makes others feel a sense of homecoming every time they step into their own home.”

The Process

Ashley and Diane meet with each McCaffrey Homes buyer to go over options, available upgrades, and everything from colors to countertops. They strive to create an exciting, stress-free process, and give buyers the chance to truly create their dream home all within their budget.

The first meeting focuses more on structural selections like plumbing, electrical and door hardware. This is also when Ashley and Diane will learn about the buyer’s inspiration for the space, and any must-haves on their list.

“We encourage our homebuyers to be part of the creative process and impart their family’s personality into their new home,” says Diane.

The second meeting is all about the aesthetic details like flooring, light fixtures, tile, and stone, and is something McCaffrey Homes’ families always look forward to. 

“This appointment is where the homebuyer’s vision is brought to life and the finishing touches are finalized,” Ashley says. “A homebuyer can select all included design materials and have a home that looks current and reflects their personal style. They also have the opportunity to individually select all of their finishes, so they end up with a home that is truly personalized to their taste.”

“Our very unique multitude of selections allows our buyers to personalize their home in a way that is rarely seen outside of custom home building,” adds Diane.

Finally, before the close of escrow, the design team does a walk-through of each home to take a last look at all of the details and make sure everything is just as the buyer selected.
