The founders of McCaffrey Homes
in Fresno, Calif., have joined an elite group of 200 legends who
epitomize the spirit of the homebuilding industry – skill, vision,
resilience and determination.
Robert A. McCaffrey, CEO, and Karen Bonadelle McCaffrey,
Vice President, were inducted into the California Homebuilding
Foundation's (CHF) Housing Hall of Fame.
"As the Hall of Fame celebrates its 30th anniversary, I
believe we have identified industry leaders who are truly worthy of
induction," said CHF Chairman John Young of Young Homes. "Each has
played a major role in making California a better place to live, through
the homes they have produced and the many ways they have given back to
their communities."
The Hall of Fame gala was held June 24, 2014 at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel.
"We are honored to be recognized by the California
Homebuilding Foundation with the induction into its prestigious Hall of
Fame," said Robert McCaffrey. "This is especially meaningful because it
acknowledges the teamwork that Karen and I have shared together for more
than 35 years."
Karen McCaffrey said, "The Hall of Fame induction is
particularly significant to Bob and I because it recognizes not only our
success in homebuilding, but also the greater commitment our McCaffrey
family has to the communities we serve."
"To be recognized by our peers and our industry leaders is among the biggest honors of our careers", Karen added.
"I
thank our staff, trade contractors, business associates and family for
their support all along the way that made this possible", added Robert.
Robert McCaffrey entered the business after a successful
football career at the University of Southern California and the Green
Bay Packers; Karen McCaffrey learned the business from an early age from
her father, Fresno builder, John Bonadelle.
Building in California's Central San Joaquin Valley for
more than 35 years and three generations, McCaffrey Homes has provided
homebuyers with the American Dream. Having constructed more than 8,000
homes, McCaffrey is now building in three communities in the Fresno and
Clovis, Calif., area: The Heights at Loma Vista, The Gallery in Clovis
and The Heights on Copper. The company has begun planning the first
Village of Tesoro Viejo, a 1,600 acre master planned community in Madera
County, with groundbreaking planned for 2016.
