A loyal and long-standing member of the McCaffrey Homes family, Brandon Smith has been  with McCaffrey Homes for nearly 9 years. Read on for more about his role and what he enjoys most about the work that he does.

What do you do for McCaffrey Homes?

As the Construction Manager, I manage the Construction Superintendents and Superintendent Assistants in the daily on-goings in the construction of our homes. We take the homes from rough grade (dirt) to New Home Orientation. On any day we’re managing 150 to 200 construction workers in the construction of 100+ homes. We recently completed the Oaks product, and are currently wrapping up Altura.  Two new products are taking off, Poppy and Savanna. McCaffrey Homes is also introducing new elevations of our Ivy homes at Creekside Village in Tesoro Viejo. 

How long have you been with McCaffrey Homes?

It will be 9 years in February.  During my time here I have been afforded flexibility and opportunity. I am grateful to be part of a hardworking team.   

What is your educational background and experience in the industry?

I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management, and a Master’s in Business Administration. Both degrees from California State University, Fresno. My work experience consists of many years in the Fresno area restaurant industry as well as time with a Fresno Commercial General Contractor.  

What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment so far with McCaffrey Homes? 

Participating in the construction management of Tesoro Viejo’s award-winning resort-style clubhouse, The Ranch House. It was a great opportunity.  

What is most important for homebuyers to know about building a new home?

While it can be a stressful experience at times, try to go with the flow (as best as possible). Trust the process. You are in good hands with McCaffrey Homes. From the Sales, Mortgage, and Design teams, to Construction, and Customer Service.   

What do you enjoy most about your job?

There is never a dull moment. One must be able to navigate multiple moving parts and people, and handle obstacles while keeping a cool head. I also enjoy the opportunity to work outside.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?

Seeing the Superintendents and Superintendent Assistants I have mentored succeeding at their jobs and turning out a good product.
